Laura McGuire is a realist acrylic painter drawn to the small, tender moments of family life — a child meeting a puppy for the first time, a brother catching his first wave, the soft chaos of a sunlit afternoon.

Working primarily in acrylics on canvas, Laura builds each piece up slowly in layers, chasing the way light falls across hair, fur, and water. Every painting begins with a photograph, a memory, or a story shared by a family.

She accepts a limited number of commissions each year — portraits of children, beloved pets, and treasured family photographs. Available originals are listed in the gallery.
